Heron Barn is in Lamas, Norfolk. It's a semi-detached barn conversion, so the main room has a high vaulted ceiling and wooden floors.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One is on the ground floor with a kingsize bed. The other has two singles that can be joined into a super kingsize. There's one bathroom upstairs with a shower over the bath.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and in good order. There's a wood burner in the living area. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Outside is a small patio with a charcoal barbecue. If you're bringing dogs, you should know the patio isn't fully enclosed.
The village of Buxton is about a mile and a quarter away. It has a pub, a shop, and a chip shop.
For days out, Wroxham is six miles. That's where you can hire boats to go out on the Broads. The coast is about a 15 to 20 minute drive. Cromer and Sheringham are the main towns that way. Mundesley and Sea Palling are good for sandy beaches.
If you like walking or cycling, you can start from the door. The Bure Valley Railway runs steam trains between Aylsham and Wroxham. There are a few National Trust places nearby, like Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. Horsey Beach is known for the seals in winter.
Facilities include parking, WiFi, TV, and things for babies like a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
