Coot is one of four lodges on the River Bure in Hoveton. It's on the water, with its own lawn down to the riverbank.
The layout is upside-down, so the main living area is upstairs. That's to make the most of the view. There's a balcony up there where you can sit and watch the boats go by. It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
A day boat for up to eight people comes with the lodge most of the year, free of charge. You can moor it right outside. If you're here in the main school holidays, there's a small charge for it from the owner. If you've got a fishing licence and your own gear, you can fish from the owner's stretch of riverfront nearby.
Wroxham, which they call the capital of the Broads, is a few minutes' walk away. There are shops, cafes, and places to eat there. You're well placed for cycling and walking paths.
The Norfolk coast, with beaches like Cromer and Sheringham, is about half an hour's drive. Norwich is under half an hour in the other direction for a city day out.
For facilities, it has the washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking, and all bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. You can bring up to three dogs. There are life jackets provided, and dog life jackets available for a refundable deposit.
