Staithe View is in Horning, right by the river. You can sit in the front room and watch the boats go past on the Bure. It’s a proper Broads village.
The cottage sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and clean. The garden at the back is enclosed, so it’s fine for kids or dogs. We allow up to two well-behaved pets.
You’re a minute’s walk from the water. The village has a shop, a couple of cafes, and three pubs right on the riverfront, all serving food. You don’t really need the car if you don’t want to.
You can hire a day boat from a place just along the staithe. That’s the best way to see it all. For a bigger town, Wroxham is about ten minutes’ drive. They’ve got shops, supermarkets, and the Bure Valley narrow-gauge railway goes from there to Aylsham.
If you’ve got children to entertain, BeWILDerwood is a 20-minute drive. The coast at Great Yarmouth is about half an hour. Norwich is 11 miles for a day of shopping or the cathedral.
For facilities: there’s a washing machine, WiFi, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. The garden has patio furniture.
