Elm Loft is what it says on the tin. It's a loft conversion above our garage, down a quiet lane in Upton. It's separate from our house, which is about a hundred yards away. You get the place to yourselves.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean, warm, and everything works, but it's not a fancy hotel. The stairs go straight up into the living space. They're normal house stairs.
The living area is all one room, with Velux windows in the roof. The bedroom has blackout blinds, which is good if you like a lie-in. There's a small enclosed patio out the back with a table and chairs.
You're right next to Upton dyke, so you can see the boats. It's a two minute walk. Good for a stroll. The village pub is about a hundred yards up the lane. They do food. There's a community shop there too.
For bigger shops, you'd drive to Acle. It's about two miles. They've got supermarkets and a couple of riverside pubs. Wroxham is six miles away. That's where you get the boat trips on the Broads. Norwich is about ten miles. You've got the cathedral, the castle, the cinemas, all that.
The north Norfolk coast is easy to get to. Cromer, with its pier and that, is probably a half hour drive depending on traffic.
In terms of what's there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking right outside. The bedding is included. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, but it's quite small, just the patio really.
