Lodge Farm Barn

Lodge Farm Barn is what it sounds like, a converted barn out in the fields near Panxworth. It's a single building, detached.

It sleeps twelve people in six bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. All the rooms are on the ground floor, so there are no stairs at all. Every bedroom door opens straight out into the central courtyard garden.

The main thing is the space. There's a big kitchen with a table, a separate dining room, and a large lounge. There's also a conservatory that looks out over the main garden. Outside, there's a central courtyard that's fully enclosed, and then larger landscaped gardens around the building. There's a hot tub in the courtyard. You'll find garden seat cushions and some games in the utility room.

It's in a quiet village. You can walk or cycle straight from the door on the footpaths and lanes. The local shop and a few places to eat are in Acle, about four miles away. Wroxham is five and a half miles. That's where you can hire boats to go out on the Broads.

Norwich is eleven miles away if you want a city day for shopping or the cathedral. The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Beaches like Winterton or Sea Palling are good, proper sandy ones.

For things to do, there's the Norfolk Broads National Trust area all around. RSPB Strumpshaw Fen is close by for wildlife. If you've got children, Bewilderwood or the Dinosaur Adventure park are within half an hour.

Facilities: everything's included, bedding, towels, electricity. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner. Plenty of parking. It's wheelchair accessible. No pets.
