River Retreat

River Retreat is a lodge in Brundall, which is in the Norfolk Broads. It overlooks a little basin off the River Yare.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It was redone in 2023, so it's clean and fresh. It's got that 4 Star rating. The living area is open plan and you can see the water from the French doors. You can sit out on the veranda. There are steps down from the garden to the water's edge.

It's in the owners' small private marina. You have your own private mooring right outside, so if you bring a boat, you can tie it up there. It's good for kayaks or paddleboards too. There's a bait fridge. Fishing is available in season.

The village has what you need: a shop, a post office, a couple of pubs that do food, and a train station. One pub is across the river, the other is a short walk.

You're in the Norfolk Broads National Park. For days out, Norwich is about eight miles away by train or car. It's good for shopping and has a castle and museums.

The coast is about a 20 minute drive. Great Yarmouth is one way, with Gorleston and Caister nearby. The other way has Winterton and the beaches towards Sea Palling.

For local attractions, there's Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens, Pettitts Animal Adventure Park near Reedham, and the RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen.

Facilities: it's detached with parking right there. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
