River Rest is in Brundall, on the Norfolk Broads. It's a detached lodge right on the water's edge in a small, private marina. You get the garden and your own private mooring.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been fully renovated, so everything is clean and works properly. The layout is open plan.
The main thing is the position. You're literally a few feet from the water. You can sit out and watch the boats on the river basin. You can fish from your own quay in season. There's a bait fridge provided. If you have your own boat, kayak, or paddleboard, you can launch it straight from here.
Brundall village has what you need. There's a shop, a train station, and a couple of pubs. One pub is just across the river, the other is a short walk. The train is useful. You can get into Norwich city centre in about 15 minutes, or go the other way to the coast at Great Yarmouth.
Norwich is worth the trip. The castle, the market, the lanes. National Trust Norfolk has a list of places nearby if you like walking. For the Broads themselves, the Broads Authority site is good for maps and information.
If you want days out, Wroxham is ten minutes up the road. That's the main centre for boat hire. For the coast, Winterton or Sea Palling have good sandy beaches and are about half an hour's drive. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens is close by.
Facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We accept up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
