Hilley Holey

Hilley Holey is a detached annexe in Woodbastwick, which is right in the Broads National Park. It's separate from the main house. You get it to yourselves. The place sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The main thing is the view. There's a terrace out the back that looks over open fields. It's quiet. You can sit out there in the evening.

The village is small and quiet. The local pub, and Woodforde's Brewery, are about a five or ten minute walk away. There's a shop, but it's a couple of miles, so you'd probably drive.

For the Broads, you're well placed. Salhouse Broad is close by. You can hire day launches from Wroxham, which is only about four miles up the road. Good for a trip out on the water.

Norwich is seven miles. That's where you go for proper shops, the castle, the two cathedrals. You can get the train from Salhouse station if you don't want to drive in.

The coast is about sixteen miles. Good sandy beaches. Cromer and Great Yarmouth are the main ones, with piers and the usual seaside things. It's a drive, but doable for a day out.

Facilities wise: it's all on one level with wheelchair accessible access. There's parking right outside. It has a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
