The stairs are in the main living area. They’re spiral, and quite steep.

The village is about a five minute drive away. It has a shop, a post office, a pub, and a butcher.
If you like being on the water, you can hire boats or paddleboards in a few nearby places like Wroxham, Horning, or Potter Heigham. The coast is about ten miles away, at places like Sea Palling or Winterton-on-Sea, which have sandy beaches and dunes.
Norwich is a good day out, it’s about forty minutes by car. There are several National Trust places within half an hour or so, like Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall. For local walks and information about the area, the Norfolk Broads website is useful.
