Rosemary Cottage is in Hickling, Norfolk. It's a three bedroom cottage that sleeps five. There's one bathroom.
We finished a full refurbishment in 2022. It's open plan downstairs, with a wood burner in the living area. The kitchen is new and has everything you need. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids. There's a deck with seating and a hot tub out there.
You can walk to two village pubs from the cottage. Both do food. There's no shop in the village itself, but Stalham has a big supermarket, about five minutes away by car.
The cottage is right on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. Hickling Broad is a nature reserve you can walk to. It's good for birdwatching. You can hire boats at Hickling or at Potter Heigham, which is a short drive.
The coast is about three miles east. Sea Palling and Waxham have sandy beaches. You often see seals there. Horsey Gap is also good for that, where the seals come onto the beach.
For a day out, Wroxham is known as the capital of the Broads. You can get river trips from there. The Bure Valley Steam Railway runs from there up to Aylsham. There are several National Trust properties nearby, like Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. Cromer and Sheringham are classic seaside towns on the north coast. Norwich is about forty minutes drive if you want a city day.
Facilities: everything is included - bedding, towels, electricity. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. On site parking. We allow up to three pets. It has a 5 Star rating.
