Rosemary Cottage

Rosemary Cottage is in Hickling village. It’s great if you’re after the broads and the beaches.

It sleeps five people. Three bedrooms. One bathroom in there. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up nicely. The kitchen is open plan to the living room. There's a wood burner. Works well.

The garden out the back is private and enclosed. There's a lawn, some decking, and a hot tub.

You can walk to the village pub from here. No shop in Hickling, but Stalham's not far for a supermarket.

Hickling Broad is right on the doorstep. You can hire boats from there or from Potter Heigham, which is a few miles away. It's a nice area for walking or cycling on the quiet lanes.

The beach is about three miles off. Sea Palling and Waxham have sandy beaches. You'll often see seals there or along at Horsey Gap.

If you fancy a steam train, the Bure Valley Railway runs to Aylsham. Wroxham is the main place for boats and cafes on the broads. Norwich is less than an hour's drive for a city day out. There are a few National Trust places nearby, like Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall.

For planning, the Broads Authority site is useful, as is the National Trust Norfolk page.

In the cottage you'll find a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs.
