The Studio

The Studio is in Hickling, near the water. It was an artist's studio years ago, which is where the name comes from. It's thatched.

It's a three-star place, which means it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The stairs are a bit steep, just to warn you. No dogs allowed.

You've got your own lawn that goes down to the private water. That opens onto Hickling Broad, so you can see boats going past. There's a conservatory with a table where you can sit and look out. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.

Hickling has a shop and a pub, The Greyhound, which is about a five minute walk. They do meals.

Waxham beach is about four miles away. It's a good, sandy beach. For the Broads, you're right on Hickling Broad, which is the largest one. You can walk to the visitor centre from here. The Norfolk Wildlife Trust looks after it.

If you want to go out on the water, boat hire is easy to find nearby. Wroxham is about ten miles away if you want more shops or to hire a day boat from there. The coast at Horsey or Winterton is about a 15 minute drive. Norwich is about 40 minutes if you need a city.

For facilities, you've got parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and bedding is included.
