The Coach House
The Coach House is in East Somerton. It's a converted barn, detached, so it's on its own. It's got a 4 Star rating. It sleeps seven, but it's in three bedrooms and one of them is a bunk room. There are two bathrooms, which helps.
The front looks out over a protected wildlife area. It's a flat, open view. There's a grassed area with a duck pond at the front. The back garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs. There's a sun terrace and a small games area in a separate barn, with table tennis.
It's about a mile from the beach at Winterton. You walk through the dunes to get to the sand. It's a really good beach.
There's a biomass stove that heats the place. It looks like a wood burner but it runs on pellets. We'll show you how it works when you get here. There's underfloor heating too. The beams are exposed, so if you're tall, mind your head in a couple of doorways.
For facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and bike storage. There's an electric vehicle charger on site. Bedding is included. We take up to two dogs.
The local pub is The Fishermans Return in Winterton, about a mile and a half away. They do food. There's a shop there too.
For things to do, you're right on the edge of the Broads. You can get boat trips from nearby. Horsey Windmill is close. The RSPB reserve at Winterton is on your doorstep if you like birdwatching. Cromer and Sheringham are along the coast, maybe half an hour by car. Norwich is about forty minutes.
