Little Tern

Little Tern is a bungalow in Winterton on Sea. It's a converted stable, so it's old. It sleeps two. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single, but it's really just for two people.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. Because it's a bungalow, everything is on one level. The shower is fine.

You're about five minutes' walk from the beach. It's a good sandy beach. The dunes and the nature reserve start just there. You get Little Terns nesting and sometimes you can see the natterjack toads.

In the winter, from about late November, you can go up to Horsey Beach to see the seal pups. It's a few miles up the coast.

The village shop is a couple of minutes away. The pub is about five minutes. They do food.

If you want a traditional seaside day, Great Yarmouth is about twenty minutes by car. The Norfolk Broads are about fifteen minutes away for a boat trip. Norwich is forty-five minutes if you want the cathedral or to go shopping.

For facilities, it's got a woodburner for when it's cold, a washing machine, a BBQ, and an enclosed garden. Towels and bedding are included. You can bring one dog.

If you're planning trips, the National Trust Norfolk site is useful. For local walks and the nature reserve, try Norfolk County Council's country parks page.
