Glebe Cottage
Glebe Cottage is in West Caister, about ten minutes drive inland from Great Yarmouth. It's a detached cottage, and it's in the grounds of our house, next to the old church ruins. You get about half an acre of garden to yourselves. It looks out over fields.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's all on one level, no stairs at all. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's clean and modern inside.
You can walk into Caister-on-Sea in about fifteen minutes. There's a shop and a pub there. The beach at Caister is sandy and it's about a twenty-five minute walk, or a very short drive.
Great Yarmouth is a ten-minute drive. It's a proper old-fashioned seaside town with a pier, amusements, and a market. If you want something quieter, the Norfolk Broads start a few miles away. You can hire a day boat from places like The Broads Authority has good information on that.
There are a lot of walks straight from the door, along the lanes and footpaths. If you want a longer coastal walk, the Norfolk Coast Path is about twenty minutes drive north.
Facilities wise: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. There's a highchair if you need one. Sorry, no pets.
