The Old Workshop
The Old Workshop is on a side street in Great Yarmouth. It's about five minutes walk from the beach and the main promenade. It used to be a workshop, hence the name. The garden has a high brick wall around it, so it's private.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The layout is upside down. The bedrooms are on the ground floor and the living room and kitchen are upstairs. This means you get a better view from the sitting room. The stairs are normal house stairs, not too steep.
There's a garden room downstairs which is good if someone wants to sit separately. The walled garden gets the sun. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and children.
The beach is sandy and long. The promenade has all the usual seaside things: amusement arcades, the sea life centre, places to eat. The Wednesday night fireworks in summer are a big thing if you're here for them.
For a day out, the Norfolk Broads are about a 20 minute drive. You can hire boats or just walk. Norwich is roughly half an hour away by car. It's good for shopping and has the cathedral and castle.
The house has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the driveway. You can bring up to two dogs. We leave a cot and highchair there if you need them.
