Coastguard Cottage

Coastguard Cottage is in Caister on Sea. It's right at the end of a no through road that goes down to the beach. You can see the sea from the upstairs windows.

It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The layout is a bit quirky because of how it's built into the dune, but there's plenty of space. The garden is enclosed and private, and there's a hot tub out there.

The beach is a very short walk away. There's no direct access from the drive itself, you go out onto the road and walk down. In winter, it's apparently a good spot for surfing. There's a privately run caravan park next door. You can use their clubhouse bar and restaurant, and they have a play area.

Caister village is about five minutes walk. It has shops, cafes, and a couple of places for food. There's a pub about 50 yards from the cottage. Great Yarmouth is a short drive away. That's where you'll find the big beach, the pleasure beach rides, amusements, and the leisure centre pool.

Local things to see include the ruins of Caister Castle and a classic car museum. The Norfolk Broads are close by for boat trips and walking. For a day out, Norwich is about half an hour's drive. It's a proper city with a castle, cathedral, shops, and the theatre.

For facilities: bedding and towels are included, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking on the drive. We have a cot and a highchair if you need them. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the internal layout has steps. Sorry, no pets.
