High Garden

High Garden is a bungalow in Burgh Castle. It's detached and all on one level. It's a five star place, which means it's modern and well-equipped. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms.

You've got two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. There's a big open-plan living area with doors out to an enclosed patio garden. The garden has a hot tub. There's a proper kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine.

The local pub is about an eleven minute walk. It does food. There's a holiday park nearby with an indoor pool and a clubhouse bar if you want that.

It's a quiet spot. The main thing here is the view. You look out over the marshes and Breydon Water. The Burgh Castle Roman Fort is just up the road. It's a good walk with panoramic views, and it's teeming with birdlife.

Gorleston beach is about ten minutes by car. It's a nice sandy beach. Great Yarmouth is a bit further for the traditional seaside stuff – Pleasure Beach, the Sea Life centre, that sort of thing.

You're right on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. You can hire a day boat or a canoe from a few places nearby if you want to get on the water.

Norwich is about half an hour's drive. It's a good city for a day out, with the castle, shops, and museums.

Facilities: everything's included – bedding, towels, electricity. There's a cot and highchair. Parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring two dogs. There's WiFi.
