River Quay is in Gorleston on Sea, on the Norfolk coast. It's a terraced house, so you've got neighbours, but it's been done up nicely. It's spread over three floors.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. The stairs are there, as you'd expect with three floors.
You're about a ten minute walk from the beach. It's a good, wide beach, won awards. The town has a proper promenade. There are cafes and pubs right by the sand. A shop, pub, and restaurant are literally fifty yards from the door.
Gorleston itself has a theatre and a pitch and putt course near the beach. The harbour is where the Norfolk Broads start, so it's a good base if you've got a boat or want to go on river trips. Great Yarmouth is just north, about three miles.
Within half an hour's drive, you can get to a few different things. To the north, Winterton and Horsey have big sand dunes. You can sometimes see seals at Horsey in the winter. Norwich is inland, about forty minutes, for a city day with shops and restaurants.
South into Suffolk, it's about half an hour to places like Dunwich Heath and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere if you like walking and birdwatching.
For facilities: you've got parking for one car out front. There's an enclosed patio area with a BBQ. Inside, there's a dishwasher and washing machine. Wi-Fi, TV. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
