The Beech House

The Beech House is in Corton, right on the edge of Lowestoft in Suffolk. It's a big detached house, set back from the road. Sleeps eight, four bedrooms, two bathrooms.

It's got a five-star rating, which means it's well equipped and in good order. It's a modern house, so it's straightforward inside. The kitchen and living area are open plan. Patio doors go out to the garden.

The main thing you'll notice is the pool and hot tub in the garden. The pool is heated and fenced off, which is sensible. The garden itself is enclosed.

There's also a room set up as a cinema. It's got a big screen and seats.

Location wise, Corton Beach is less than half a mile away. It's a shingle beach, good for walking. The local shop, pub, and a restaurant are about the same distance. The pub does food.

If you've got kids, Pleasurewood Hills theme park is a ten-minute walk away. For a day out, Southwold is about a twenty-minute drive up the coast. Oulton Broad, which is the start of the Norfolk Broads, is three miles away. Great Yarmouth is about ten miles.

Facilities: all the normal stuff like washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for a couple of cars on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs.

For planning days out: Visit East of England and the National Trust Suffolk Coast sites are useful.
