Ocean Retreat Lodge
Ocean Retreat Lodge is in Corton, right on the Suffolk coast. It's a detached lodge, sat on the cliff above the beach.
The main thing is the view. You’ve got floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around veranda. It looks straight out to sea, nothing in the way. You can see the sun come up.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, so it’s well-finished and comfortable. Everything’s on one level and the doors are wide, so it’s accessible if you need that.
Inside it’s open plan. They’ve put in USB sockets and left an extension lead, which is handy. There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Your own parking space too.
The beach is about five hundred yards down the cliff. There’s a shop and a pub about the same distance away. Lowestoft is close if you want arcades, fish and chips, that sort of thing. Oulton Broad is a short drive, good for a meal out and it’s where the Norfolk Broads start.
If you’re driving, Southwold is about twenty minutes north. Aldeburgh is about half an hour south. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline around here. For information on the Broads, The Broads Authority is the place to look.
You can bring two dogs. All the bedding and towels are included.
