Tillet Cottage is in Camps Heath, near Lowestoft in Suffolk. It's a detached house, so you've got space all around you. It's from the late Victorian era I think, so there are some original features like beams and fireplaces. They're decorative, not for use.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. There's a double bedroom downstairs, just off the dining room. We find that's useful if someone doesn't want to do the stairs. There's also a main living room and a sort of sun room at the back, which is a nice spot to sit.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable and traditional, but it's not a show home. It's a family house.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. There's a patio area and a BBQ. Inside there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
You can walk to Oulton Broad, which is a large lake. You can hire boats there. There are pubs and restaurants around the broad if you don't want to cook. The nearest shop is about ten minutes walk. The closest pub is two and a half miles away.
Carlton Marshes nature reserve is right there for walking. Lowestoft's beaches are about three miles away. The town has things like Pleasurewood Hills theme park and its two piers, South Pier and Claremont Pier.
You're on the southern edge of the Norfolk Broads. For planning, it's useful to look at the Broads Authority website. For wider local information, Visit East of England is comprehensive. The coast is accessible, and you're about half an hour from places like Southwold.
