Beachwood
Beachwood is in Corton, just north of Lowestoft. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one floor. Sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and everything's sorted for you.
The place is in a quiet bit of woodland, right on the cliff edge. You look straight out to sea. The decking is big and goes right up to the edge. The beach is never that busy, which is nice. You get to it by a short path through the woods.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen has what you need, and we leave tea, coffee, and milk for when you arrive. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The main bedroom has a walk-in shower, and the other bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.
Outside, there's a hot tub on the deck. It's lit up at night. There are also some string lights on a timer that come on in the evening. The garden is private and the whole site is well kept. It's very peaceful here, no playgrounds or shops on site. Up to three dogs are welcome. The beach is dog friendly all year.
In Corton village, about a ten-minute walk, there's a pub that does food and a small shop that sells papers. The pub has a Chinese takeaway that only takes cash. A few minutes' drive away there's a retail park with supermarkets and plenty of free parking.
For things to do, Lowestoft is close. It's a traditional seaside town with piers and beaches. The southern part of the Norfolk Broads starts at Oulton Broad, which is a short drive. Southwold is about 35 minutes by car.
Facilities included are all the ones you'd expect: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels, parking right outside. There's a BBQ too. It's decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
