The Yellow House

The Yellow House is in Gorleston on Sea, on the Norfolk coast. It's a big Victorian end-of-terrace house that sleeps eleven. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. One useful thing is it's got a proper shower and a bath.

It’s a short walk to the beach, about five minutes. Gorleston beach is sandy and good for families. The promenade is nice for a walk. It's all pretty gentle. The house is opposite the harbour, so you can watch the ships from the front windows.

Out the back there's a south-facing patio with a table and chairs. The garden is enclosed. It gets the sun. It's a good spot.

Inside, it's spacious. It's been done up in a light, modern way. The stairs are typical for a house this age. We've put in a stairgate at the top. There's bedding and towels included, a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. We allow two well-behaved dogs.

Just down the road, maybe 300 yards, there are shops, cafes, and a couple of pubs that serve food. There's also a local theatre. For more amusements and arcades, Great Yarmouth is a ten-minute drive along the coast.

You’ve got a few options for a day out within about half an hour. The Norfolk Broads are a short drive. You can hire a boat or go on a river trip. There are nice walks and pubs by the water. For a theme park, there's Pleasurewood Hills. Norwich is good if you want a city day for shopping or the castle and cathedral.
