Selkie Cottage
This is Selkie Cottage. It's in Corton, which is a village just north of Lowestoft in Suffolk. You're right on the east coast here.
The main thing is it's in a row of cottages basically on the cliff top. The beach is a few yards away down a path. You get to it via a proper iron staircase, which is ninety steps. It's sturdy, but it's ninety steps. So it's not great for anyone who struggles with stairs, or for buggies. But if you can manage it, the beach is right there.
Sleeps three. Two bedrooms. One of them has its own en-suite bathroom, and there's another shower room downstairs. There's a separate kitchen and a living and dining room. The stairs inside are fine.
Front and back gardens are yours. Parking for two cars on the front drive.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean, it works, it's comfortable. It's not posh.
The local pub is a couple of minutes' walk. There's a golf course nearby. Lowestoft is just down the road for shops and things. They've got two piers. One has a restaurant.
For walking, you're on the Suffolk Coast Path. It's a good base for the Norfolk Broads as well. If you want to go a bit further, Southwold and Beccles are about half an hour's drive.
What's included: all the electricity and utilities, bedding and towels, Wi-Fi. No pets.
