Selkie Cottage
Selkie Cottage is in Corton, Suffolk. It's just inland from the beach. You can see the sea from the bottom of the lane.
It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one downstairs and another en-suite upstairs. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has everything you need, but it's not a show home. It's a holiday cottage.
The big thing you need to know is about getting to the beach. It is very close, just a few yards. But the direct access is down a ninety-step iron staircase from the cliff top. It's sturdy, but it's a lot of steps. Some people might find it difficult. There are other beach access points a short drive away if that's better.
You've got a private garden at the front and back. Parking for two cars on the drive. WiFi works fine.
The local pub is about 200 yards up the road. It serves food. Corton itself is quiet. For more shops and things, Lowestoft is a few minutes south. They've got piers, a beach, and you can go fishing.
You're right on the edge of The Broads. It's about a twenty minute drive to get onto the proper waterways at Oulton Broad. There's good walking along the coast path. The sunrises here are famous because we're the most easterly point. If the weather's clear, it's worth setting an alarm.
