Ocean Glade is in Corton, Suffolk. It's a detached lodge on a conservation park on the cliff. You look straight out to sea. The view is panoramic, no one is in front of you. On a clear day you can see ships going up and down the coast.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order and comfortable. The living area is open plan. The sofa faces the big window so you can just sit and watch the water. There's an enclosed veranda with a table, you can eat out there when it's not blowing a gale.
The park itself is landscaped and quiet. The beach is dog friendly all year, which is good because we take one pet. It's about a five minute walk down.
In terms of things to do, you can walk the coastline from the door. Lowestoft is a few miles north. It's a proper seaside town with piers and a sandy beach. For a change of scene, you're right on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. Oulton Broad is close by if you want to mess about on the water. There's a local pub and a golf course nearby.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. There's a BBQ you can use. Because it's all on one level, it's straightforward to get around.
If you're planning walks or days out, the Visit Suffolk site has ideas, and the National Trust for the East of England covers some local properties.
