Reedham Old Hall

Reedham Old Hall is just outside the village of Reedham in Norfolk. It's a big, detached Georgian house from 1775. It's not fancy, it's just a solid old place with large rooms.

It sleeps fourteen people in seven bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The garden is about two acres. There's an outdoor heated swimming pool, a tennis court, a decked area with a barbecue, and a garden kitchen. You can bring up to two dogs.

The kitchen has an Aga as well as a separate electric oven and hob. There's a formal dining room with a baby grand piano. The main living room has a wood burner and doors out to the garden.

The stairs are a proper Georgian staircase, so they're grand but also quite steep in parts. The house is spread over three floors.

Reedham village is about a mile away. It's on the River Yare and has a few pubs that serve food, a shop, and a local brewery. You can hire boats or kayaks from there. The village train station goes to Norwich or Great Yarmouth.

You're right on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. For trips out, Norwich is about 15 miles away for shopping and the castle. The beaches at Great Yarmouth or Gorleston are about half an hour's drive. For a nicer beach, Winterton-on-Sea is about 35 minutes. Pettitts Animal Adventure Park is a short walk away.

Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Parking on site. There's an electric vehicle charger. Wood burners in some rooms. Cot available if needed.
