Riverside Cottage

Riverside Cottage is in Loddon, Norfolk. It's detached and sits on a long drive next to our boatyard, right by the River Chet. You look out over the river and the marshes. It's quiet here. You'll mainly see a few boats, swans, and ducks.

The house sleeps six. There are three bedrooms. Two are upstairs: one kingsize bed and one twin room. The third bedroom is downstairs with a double bed. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's a family house.

The garden is enclosed, so it's secure. There's outdoor furniture. You can park on the drive.

Inside, there's a living area with a wood burner for cooler evenings, and the kitchen has what you'd need. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included.

You can bring up to two dogs. They'll need to be kept on a lead outside because of the boatyard next door.

The village is a short walk away. There's a pub, a fish and chip shop, and other basics. For a bigger shop, Beccles is about seven miles away. Norwich is eleven miles. That's got everything: shopping, the castle, the cathedral, cinemas.

If you're here for the water, you can hire a day boat or even a vintage wooden cruiser from the marina next door. Fishing is available on the river. It's good for walking and cycling straight from the door, and for birdwatching on the marshes.

The coast is within a half-hour drive. Great Yarmouth is about sixteen miles. Southwold, on the Suffolk heritage coast, is around twenty miles away.
