Stella's Retreat

Stella's Retreat is a one-bedroom bungalow on the edge of Loddon. It's all on one level, with no steps, so it's good for anyone who finds stairs difficult. You can get a wheelchair through the front door fine, but the bathroom isn't adapted, so just be aware of that.

It's got a five star rating. It's comfortable and clean, with a proper kitchen. The sofas are decent. Patio doors open straight out to a private, enclosed garden. It looks out over a field towards the River Chet. It's quiet.

Loddon itself is a small town. There's a Co-op, a couple of pubs that do food, and some cafes, all about a ten minute walk away. The river winds through the middle, so you can sit and watch the boats, or the ducks. You can hire canoes and paddleboards locally if you want to get on the water.

You're well placed for getting out. Beccles is about fifteen minutes by car. It's got supermarkets, a nice lido you can book into, and you can get river trips from there. Norwich is about twenty five minutes in the other direction for proper shopping, the castle, the cathedral, that sort of thing.

If you want the coast, Great Yarmouth is roughly half an hour's drive. It's a traditional seaside town, with a pier and a long beach. Southwold, which is a bit more genteel, is about forty minutes.

For facilities, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
