Wilma Cottage is in Dockeney, which is in Norfolk near the Suffolk border. It's semi-detached and I live next door. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The cottage has original beams. There's a wood burning stove in the front room. The kitchen is a good size and has a table for four. The garden has decking and is enclosed.
The garden is south facing, so you get the sun on it. Help yourself to herbs from the pot by the back door if you're cooking.
There's a local shop with a post office about a mile away. The village pub is a few minutes' walk. It serves food and has a beer garden.
Rowan Craft Marina is just down the road. You can hire day boats or canoes there, or just go for a walk along the river Waveney. It's a good way onto the Broads.
Beccles is four miles away. It's a nice little town on the river. There are some independent shops, cafes, and a few places to eat.
For the coast, Southwold is about twenty minutes by car. It's a traditional seaside town. Lowestoft is a bit further north and has sandy beaches.
The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance, but the bathroom is upstairs. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steeper than modern ones.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on site. Wi-Fi, TV, bedding, towels, and a washing machine are all included. Logs for the stove are provided.
