This is the Northgate Bakery Annex. It's a self-contained place attached to our house in Beccles. So it's quiet, but we're right here if you need anything.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a four star rating, which is about right. It's comfortable and clean, but the main thing is the building itself. It's full of old beams and an inglenook fireplace in the main room. The timbers are at least 450 years old. The kitchen floor is original Victorian tiles. We like that stuff.
The bed is a four-poster style. It has a walk-in wardrobe with a hairdryer and iron, and there's a kettle in there so you don't have to go downstairs for a morning tea.
The town centre is a short walk uphill. Supermarkets, pubs, local shops. There's a street market on Fridays. Down the hill the other way is the river quay. You can walk along there for miles.
You can get on the Broads very easily from here. Southwold on the coast is about a twenty minute drive. It's got the beach huts and the pier. Norwich is about forty minutes away if you want a city day, for the cathedral or shopping.
In terms of what's here: there's a garden area for you, parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. It's Christmas themed in December. Sorry, no pets.
