Hope Cottage
Hope Cottage is in Barsham. It's a detached house in a quiet hamlet. You'll have the garden to yourselves. It's enclosed and has mature shrubs, so it's quite private.
The cottage sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The standard of finish is high.
There's a wood burner in the living room. We leave logs for you. There's a hot tub in the garden, which is serviced between guests.
It's a few minutes' drive to Beccles. That's where you'll find the main shops, pubs, and takeaways. There's a weekly market and an open-air lido by the river. For a beach, you're looking at Southwold or Walberswick, which are about twenty minutes away by car. The coast there is good for walking and birdwatching. National Trust Suffolk Coast has details.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Broads are right on the doorstep. You can hire boats or canoes in Beccles or at other points along the River Waveney. It's a flat landscape, so cycling is popular too.
Norwich is about a forty-minute drive if you want a city day. It's got the cathedral, a castle, and plenty of shops.
Facilities wise: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking for two cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
