Briar Cottage
Briar Cottage is in Mill Common, Suffolk. It's a bungalow, all on one level, so no stairs to worry about.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both have their own bathroom. That's useful. It's a three star place, so it's comfortable and clean but don't expect anything fancy.
You're on a farm here, about 35 acres. It's quiet. There are horses and ponies in the fields. Your bit is private, you've got a deck out the back to sit on. There's a shared indoor swimming pool you can use, which is a bonus if the weather turns.
For kids, there's a play area. The place says you can bring two dogs.
It's a good base. Southwold and the coast is about six miles. RSPB Minsmere is just under nine miles if you like birdwatching. Beccles, where you can hire boats to go onto the Broads, is five miles.
In the cottage you've got the basics: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi in the clubhouse building. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
