This is Dove Cottage. It's in Halesworth, Suffolk. It used to be stables, part of the Georgian house next door, which is ours. We've done it up. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and everything works.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, as they often are in old places.
You can bring dogs. Up to three. The garden is enclosed, which helps. There's on site parking and we've put in an electric vehicle charger.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler nights. It's got a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. We include all the bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
Halesworth is a market town. There's a shop and a pub about half a mile away. The town has a few galleries and things, if that's your interest.
You're about eight miles from the coast here. Southwold is the main one, with a sandy beach and the pier. Walberswick is just over the river. For walking, the beach at Dunwich is good, or there's heathland around.
RSPB Minsmere is a short drive away if you like birdwatching. Aldeburgh is along the coast, and Snape Maltings has concerts and shops. The Norfolk Broads are about 45 minutes by car.
