Three Ash Cottage
This is Three Ash Cottage, near Bungay in Suffolk. It's detached, so it's just the cottage on its own. There's a lawned garden that's fenced off and private. You're down a quiet lane next to our house, which is from the 1500s.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's nicely done. We've renovated it, so it's got original beams but it's all fresh and bright inside. It doesn't feel dark.
You've got proper heating and a woodburning stove for winter. There's a washing machine, a TV, and the wifi works. We provide the bedding and towels. You can park right there.
You can bring two dogs. The garden is secure.
For a pint or a meal, you need to go into Bungay town, which is about a mile and a half away. There are shops there too, including a big Co-op.
The cottage is good for the Waveney Valley and the Suffolk coast. Southwold and Walberswick are on the coast, about half an hour's drive. They're good for the beach, fishing huts, and that sort of thing. For a walk, National Trust Suffolk Coast has information. Bungay itself is on the River Waveney, so you can walk along there.
If you want to go further afield, Norwich is under an hour. The Broads are about the same.
