Chestnut is a one-bedroom place on a farm near Cantley, right in the middle of the Norfolk Broads. It's detached, so it's just you. It looks out over paddocks where they keep horses. It’s quiet here.
It’s got a 4 Star rating. It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. You can bring one dog.
It feels quite new inside. It's got a woodburning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. There's a patio area with a garden table. You can park right next to it.
The location is the main thing. You're in the Broads proper. You can walk or cycle straight out from the door onto the network of paths. There's a local pub about a ten-minute walk away. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Acle or Wroxham.
Wroxham is about 15 minutes by car. That's where you can hire a day boat if you want to potter about on the water yourself. The Bure Valley Railway starts there too. It's a narrow-gauge steam train that goes to Aylsham.
Norwich is maybe 25 minutes. You've got the castle, the lanes, and all the usual city things there. For the coast, places like Winterton or Horsey are about half an hour's drive. They've got great beaches and you can often see seals.
If you're interested in the birds and the reserve, RSPB Strumpshaw Fen is very close. Good for a walk.
Facilities: it has WiFi, a TV, a shower, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. It’s listed as glamping, but it’s a solid building, not a tent.
There are two other similar properties here, Oak and Beech. You can book them together if you’re in a bigger group.
