Rose Cottage
Rose Cottage is in Reedham, on the River Yare in Norfolk. It's a thatched place, and it used to be the village pub a long time ago, then a sweet shop. It's full of character, with exposed beams and a wood burner.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms. There's one main bathroom plus a separate toilet upstairs. There's also a twin bedroom on the ground floor. The stairs are normal for an old cottage.
The main living area is open plan, with a wood burner. The sun room looks straight out over the river. The kitchen has a stable door that opens onto the garden.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. It's on a bit of a slope, with steps up to a private parking area for one car. You can fit another car or two to the side of the cottage.
You're right opposite the river here. There's a pub that does food literally ten yards away. The village shop is a few minutes' walk. Reedham has a train station, which is useful if someone doesn't want to drive.
From the door, you can walk or cycle along the river, and fishing is available opposite. The coast at Great Yarmouth is about ten miles. Norwich is about seventeen miles for a proper city day out, with shops and the castle.
If you've got children, Pettits Animal Adventure Park is just down the road. Bewilderwood and Dinosaur Adventure are within a half-hour drive.
Facilities: everything's included - bedding, towels, electricity. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. We take up to three pets. The parking is on site.
