Harbour Cottage is on the green in Winterton. It's a thatched cottage, set back from the road. The garden is all yours, it's enclosed with a decent sized lawn. You can see the sea from the upstairs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a family bathroom downstairs. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable, not basic. The stairs are the main thing. They're original, so they're steep and narrow. Fine for most, but if you have mobility issues or very small kids, you'll need to be careful.
There's a pub 50 yards away, The Fisherman's Return. They do good food. The beach is about a five minute walk, it's sandy and long. There's a little shop and a café in the village too, and a decent chippy.
For a longer walk, the dunes and the nature reserve start at the end of the beach. The beach itself is part of the Norfolk Coast Path. If you want to get out on the water, you can hire boats on the Broads at places like Potter Heigham, which is a 15 minute drive.
Further afield, Norwich is about 45 minutes by car. Great Yarmouth is the same if you want seaside stuff. Horsey is a 10 minute drive, where you can often see the seals on the beach.
Facilities: everything on the list is here. Washing machine, wifi, parking for two cars on the driveway. Bedding and towels are included. We accept one well-behaved dog.
