Ferry View is in Cess, which is a little riverside spot on the Norfolk Broads. It's on the River Thurne. You get the whole house to yourselves. It's detached and looks out over the water and a National Trust reserve.
The house sleeps fourteen. Six bedrooms and six bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is big, so it's good for a group who want their own space. There are open, steep stairs in places, so something to be aware of.
You've got your own private mooring. Next door is a boatyard if you want to hire something. The view from the first floor balcony is good for watching the birds. If anyone in your group likes fishing, this bit of the Broads is meant to be some of the best coarse fishing about.
The house has two main things for entertainment. There's a games room with a full size snooker table and a table tennis table. Then there's a separate cinema room with a very large television.
Winterton-on-Sea beach is a short drive away. It's sandy with dunes. There's sometimes a colony of grey seals on the north beach. Norwich is about half an hour's drive for a city day out. For a family day, BeWILDerwood adventure park is over at Horning.
There's a shop and a couple of pubs about a mile away in the village. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site for a few cars.
