Mill View

Mill View is in Sutton in Norfolk. It's a standalone house, not attached to anything else. We did it up in 2020, so it's modern inside.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both en-suite, so two bathrooms total. The main bedroom is downstairs. The second bedroom and the living area are upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable and quiet.

You've got a private garden, which is enclosed. There's parking right there.

The house is next to Sutton Windmill, which is tall and quite old. You can see it from the upstairs windows. There’s a footpath, the Weavers Way, that you can get onto directly from the property for walks.

Stalham village is about two and a half miles away. They've got a supermarket, bakery, chemist, that sort of thing. There are a couple of pubs serving food within a mile.

You're three miles from the coast. Sea Palling has a big sandy beach with lifeguards. If you want it quieter, try Cart Gap or Happisburgh. Horsey and Waxham are a short drive north, good for dunes and seals in the winter. From November to January parts of Horsey Beach are closed for seal pupping, but you can see them from viewing areas.

The Norfolk Broads are right here. Sutton Staithe is less than a mile. You can hire a day boat there or go on a river trip onto the Ant. Fishing is popular. The Norfolk Broads website has details.

For things to do, Wroxham is about nine miles. They call it the capital of the Broads. There's a little steam train there that goes to Aylsham. Norwich is fifteen miles. It's a proper city with a cathedral, castle, shops.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.

A couple of useful links for planning: National Trust Norfolk and Norfolk Wildlife Trust. The Hickling Nature Reserve is nearby.
