The Long Barn is in Dilham, out in the Norfolk countryside. It's a converted barn, so it's quite long, as you'd expect. It's one of two on the same private drive, but you get your own bit of garden. It's quiet.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well-finished. The showers are good. Everything is on one level inside, which is handy.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, but you'll want to keep an eye as it's not totally secure.
The location is the main thing. You're a short drive from the coast, about six or seven miles. The Norfolk Broads are practically on your doorstep, down at Dilham Staithe at the bottom of the drive. You can launch a canoe or kayak from there. There's fishing if you have a licence.
In the other direction, it's about three miles to a shop. The local pub is half a mile up the road and does food.
For days out, the coast is easy. Cromer and its pier, Sheringham, Wells-next-the-Sea. All within half an hour. The Broads are right there for boating or walking. Wayford Bridge, about three miles away, hires out day boats. Norwich is about a 40 minute drive if you want a city or a castle.
In the barn you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
