Ardea
Ardea is a detached cottage right on the river Ant in Stalham Staithe. It's a conservation area, so it's quiet. You're in our boatyard, which sounds odd, but you've got your own garden and it's private. The view from the sitting room is straight out over the water.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and everything works, but it's not a show home. The entrance and the main living space are all on one level, which is helpful. The doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair to get in.
You can fish from the bank right outside. If you want to hire a boat for the day, we run that from the yard and you can sort it when you're here.
The local pub is a few minutes' walk. There's a restaurant even closer. Stalham village has a supermarket and shops, about a mile away.
For beaches, Sea Palling is ten minutes by car. It's got the usual seafront stuff. For a quieter stretch of sand, try Waxham or Horsey. You're deep in the Broads here. Wroxham is about twenty minutes' drive. Norwich is good for a day out, it's about forty minutes. They've got the castle, the cathedral, and proper shopping.
We allow two dogs. There's parking right there for you. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ in the garden.
