It's called Bay, over in Potter Heigham. It's one of those Norfolk barn conversions. Detached, so no one next door. You get a patio garden out the front, looks over fields. Very quiet.
Sleeps six, three bedrooms. The good thing is each bedroom has its own bathroom. Someone did think of that. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The place is well set up. Dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Parking right there. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring a couple of dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
The village of Ludham is a mile away. It's got a couple of pubs and the usual shop. Potter Heigham itself is about four miles. That's where you can hire boats if you want to get out on the Broads properly.
For a day out, the coast at Sea Palling is about six miles. Sandy beach, dunes. If you want the traditional seaside, Great Yarmouth is a half hour drive. The kids might like BeWILDerwood, that treehouse adventure place. It's nearby.
Norwich isn't far, maybe 25 minutes. Good for a rainy day, or shopping. The Broads Authority site has maps and info if you're planning walks or boat trips. The National Trust in Norfolk lists places like Blickling Hall.
That's about it really. It's a good base if you want to be in the Broads.
