Puddle Inn Duck
Puddle Inn Duck is in Horning, Norfolk. It's a detached house in a marina, so the view out the back is of the water and boats. There's a private mooring if you've brought one, but you're welcome to just watch everyone else's.
It sleeps seven, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The layout is upside-down, so the living area and kitchen are upstairs to make the most of the view. Patio doors lead out to a first-floor veranda. It's a good spot to sit with a drink.
The stairs are fine, nothing unusual. You've got a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive. Sorry, no pets.
The local shop is about half a mile. There's a pub 800 yards away and a restaurant a bit closer. It's a short walk to the river.
If you want to get out on the water, you can hire boats locally. For a different kind of trip, the Bure Valley Steam Railway runs from Wroxham to Aylsham. Families might like BeWILDerwood, which is an adventure park in the trees about a mile and a half away.
Norwich is about twelve miles. It's a proper city with a cathedral, shops, and museums. The coast is roughly ten miles. For a day out, you could visit Blickling Hall or Felbrigg Hall.
