Spinaker is a modern apartment on the water in Hoveton, just outside Wroxham. It's one of a few in that style. You get your own decked balcony right over the river. You can sit out there and watch the boats go by.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, so that's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well-equipped and comfortable.
The main thing is the location on the water. You have a private mooring right outside. The other thing is you get the use of a motor day launch for free, most of the year. During the school summer holidays, you can't use that one, but the owner does preferential hire rates for a boat then. So you can still potter about on the river easily.
If you like fishing and have a licence, you can fish from the owner's bits of riverbank nearby. You need to bring your own gear.
Wroxham is a few minutes' walk. It's got shops, a few places to eat, and the big boatyards. It's the main place for the Broads. You can get boat trips from there.
For a day out, Norwich is about 20 minutes drive. It's a proper city with a castle, cathedral, shopping, the lot. The north Norfolk coast, like Cromer, is about 40 minutes away if you fancy the sea. There are some good National Trust houses nearby: Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall.
Facilities wise: it's got everything you'd expect - WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking. They provide a cot and a stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. They have dog life jackets you can borrow when you get there, with a deposit.
