The Reeds is in Hoveton, right on the water. It's a detached house, so there are no neighbours attached. It sleeps eight people in four rooms. They're all kingsize beds. There are three bathrooms, which is handy with that many people.
It’s got a 5 Star rating. That means it’s well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It feels comfortable, not just tidy.
The main thing is the river. The back of the house looks directly onto the water. The garden goes down to your own private mooring dock. You can fish from the bank if you bring your gear. There’s a slipway if you have your own boat to launch. We provide two sit-on kayaks and buoyancy aids.
Inside, there’s a large living room and an open-plan kitchen and dining room. Both have French doors that open onto the garden and the decked area. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms are there, along with a shower room. The other two bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor. This can be useful if someone doesn’t want to use the stairs.
You’re basically in Wroxham. Shops, a pub, and a restaurant are about two hundred yards away. You can walk to the train station too.
For things to do, you’re on the Norfolk Broads. You can mess about on the river, or drive to places like Potter Heigham or Horning easily. BeWILDerwood, the adventure park, is in Horning. For a day out, Norwich has everything: the cathedral, castle, and shops. It’s about a twenty-minute drive, or you can get the train.
The coast is roughly half an hour away. Sea Palling has a sandy beach. If you go a bit further to Horsey Gap, you can see the seal colony in the winter months.
For facilities, it has the expected things: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking on site. The garden is enclosed and has a BBQ. We can provide a highchair. Sorry, no pets.
