Silver Dawn is in Horning, on the River Bure. It's a detached house right on the water. The place has been completely rebuilt, so everything inside is new.
It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. That's one bathroom for every bedroom, which is handy. It has a 5 Star rating, so everything is done to a high standard. There's a large deck and a lawn that goes down to the river. You can sit and watch the boats go by. You can moor a boat at the front and back.
The house has its own private water frontage, so you can fish from the garden if you want to. The owners also have an 8-seater motor launch you can use for free. You need to arrange that with them directly. It makes exploring the Broads very easy.
Horning village is a couple of minutes away by car. It's a nice riverside place with pubs, a few shops, and some tea rooms. For a big shop, you'd go to Wroxham. It's about 9 miles to Norwich if you want a city day, or 11 miles to the coast for the beach.
Local things to do: BeWILDerwood is a big adventure park for kids. Wroxham Barns is nearby. There are National Trust places like Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall within a 30 minute drive. You can hire bikes, go birdwatching, or just mess about on the river.
As for facilities, it's got everything: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, barbecue, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. It's mostly all on one level with wide doors, so it's suitable for wheelchair users. There's a wet room on the ground floor. One well-behaved pet is allowed.
