Silver Dawn is in Horning, on the River Bure. It’s a detached house, rebuilt a few years ago so it’s modern inside. Sleeps eight, four bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating.
The main thing is the river. You’ve got your own frontage with a lawn and a big deck. You can sit out there and watch the boats go by all day. You can fish from your own bit of bank. There’s mooring at the front and back if you have a boat.
The village is a couple of minutes’ drive away. There’s a shop, a few pubs right on the water, and some places to eat. The nearest one is about three quarters of a mile.
The house has pretty much everything: towels and bedding included, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, a cot and highchair if you need them. The layout is open plan and it’s wheelchair accessible, with a wet room on the ground floor. Parking is on site.
You’re right in the middle of the Broads. Wroxham is a ten minute drive, so is Potter Heigham. You can hire day boats from loads of places. There’s an 8-seater motor launch available to rent privately from the owner if you want to arrange that.
For a day out with kids, BeWILDerwood is nearby. The coast is about 11 miles if you fancy the beach. Norwich is 9 miles away for proper shopping or the cathedral.
You’re allowed one well-behaved dog.
