White Moth

White Moth isn't a cottage, it's a houseboat. It's moored on the River Ant, near Barton Broad. It doesn't move, it's fixed to the land, so you get all your utilities connected. You can look out over the water from inside.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's compact, everything is open plan. The living area opens onto a little platform with a couple of chairs. You step off from there onto a big, shared grassy area by the river. There's a barbecue spot and you get your own picnic table.

It's good for fishing right there. If you want to get out on the water properly, you can hire a motor launch from the boatyard next door. Stalham village is a short walk away for a supermarket, shops, and a pub. There's a restaurant right next to the mooring, about five yards away.

You're in the middle of the Broads. For a bigger town, Wroxham is about eight miles. It's got shops, places to eat, and the Bure Valley Railway. The coast at Sea Palling is five miles away, with beaches at Waxham and Horsey a bit further along. Norwich is about a 40 minute drive for a cathedral, castle, and proper shopping.

The facilities cover the basics: there's a woodburning stove, a TV, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible to get in. You can bring up to two dogs.
