The Shanty
The Shanty is a detached bungalow in Walcott. It’s about a ten minute walk to the sandy beach and the village. You can see fields from the garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. I keep it clean and tidy, it’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s a bungalow, so no stairs to worry about.
The garden is enclosed and gets the sun. There’s a patio with a table and a barbecue. You can have up to three dogs, which is good because the beach is dog friendly.
The village has two pubs that do food, a fish and chip shop, and an ice cream place. It’s all about five hundred yards away. The Coastal Path runs right past, so you can walk for miles.
In terms of facilities, there’s a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.
If you want to explore, Cromer is about twelve miles west. It’s a proper seaside town with a pier. Wroxham, which is where you go for the Broads, is also about twelve miles. You can hire a day boat from there. Norwich is a half hour drive if you need a city or a big shop.
