Meadow View
Meadow View is a detached house near North Walsham. It's on our land, next to our own house, but it's private. You get your own enclosed garden and we share the meadow behind. The view from the back is just that meadow, no other houses.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and a wet room are on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are fine, not too steep.
The place is all open plan downstairs, so it's good if you want to be together. The kitchen has what you need. There's a veranda upstairs off the landing, which is a nice spot.
You can walk into North Walsham in about 20 minutes. There are shops, a couple of supermarkets, and a few pubs. The train station is there too if you fancy a day out without the car.
For walks, you can get straight onto the Paston Way from here. Pigney Wood is very close, good for a wander. If you've got dogs, Bacton Woods is about ten minutes by car. It's big, with proper paths.
The coast is about four miles. Mundesley is the nearest beach, it's sandy. Cromer and Sheringham are a short drive along the coast. Cromer's got the pier and crab, Sheringham has the steam railway. For the Broads, Wroxham is the main spot, about half an hour away, for boat hire.
If you like the big stately homes, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are both within a 30 minute drive. The National Trust website is useful for those. National Trust Norfolk.
Facilities: parking for two cars on the drive. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair. Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome. The garden is fully enclosed.
