The Tack Room

The Tack Room is what we've called it. It used to be the tack room for the stables. It's separate, by itself, next to our house on the land.

The main thing is it's all on the ground floor. No stairs at all. You can get a wheelchair in at the front and there's a wet room inside.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one wet room shower. You can bring one dog. Everything's new, so it's got a 5 Star rating. It feels clean and modern. There's Egyptian cotton bedding, which is nice.

You look out over the fields from the decking. There's a table out there and a BBQ. It's quiet. You'll see hares, sometimes deer.

The village of Gimingham is small. Mundesley beach is about a mile down the road. It's sand, good for walking any time of year. The Paston Way walking route starts in the meadow right next to you.

If you want to go further, Cromer is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a proper seaside town with a pier. You can get the famous crab there. Sheringham is similar, maybe twenty minutes. For the Broads, you'd drive to Wroxham. It's about half an hour. You can hire a boat there.

Norwich is a city with a castle and good shopping. It's about forty minutes by car, or you can get the train from Gunton station which is close.

Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Parking is right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We leave you some local bits for a welcome.

For planning, the National Trust Norfolk page is good for places like Blickling. The Visit Norfolk site covers most things.
